I’m a Danish artist living in the countryside near Haslev, Denmark with my husband and resident cat.

The pieces I create remind me of the home I grew up in when I was very little. I was too young to remember much from that time now but I have a clear memory of strings of beads hanging in front of our porch door and the sun blasting through in the morning. I was transfixed and I wanted to sit there in the sunlight forever. The dark patterns on the floor were constantly moving and changing, and suddenly as if the light had never been there to begin with, it was gone.

Since 2017 I’ve been creating these pieces as an ode to light, and I include beads and colours to catch and maintain it before it goes away. The materials, colours and symmetry all create the calm and serene feeling I had sitting on the floor looking at the light shining through the beads.

I’ve been exhibiting these pieces since 2023 - as part of Åbent Atelier in Næstved, in Næstved Kunstforening, Roskilde Åben (yearly censured exhibition) in Roskilde, as well as part of Kunst i Pinsen every year with my co-exhibitor Gitte Larsen.
